Assam CEE 2016 for MBBS,BDS,BAMS,BHMS,BE,BTech Courses admission

Dibrugarh University is inviting online applications for Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2016 for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BE, B.Tech. Courses in the colleges of the State of Assam. Assam CEE 2016 eligibility criteria

Age limit for medical courses – Candidate’s age should not be below 17 years and above 24 years of age on the 31.12.2016. Maximum age limit is relaxable by 3 years in case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST(P)/ ST(H) / OBC / MOBC category.

For MBBS/BDS courses– Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with all the four subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum of 60% marks (50% for reserved category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination.

For BAMS/BHMS course– Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with all the four subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserved category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination.

Age limit for engineering courses -The Candidate must not above 21 years or below 17 years of age as on 1st August 2016. Upper age limit is relaxed to 22 years in case of B.Sc. passed Candidates and relaxed by 3 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.

For engineering courses– Candidate must pass 10+2 examination in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in case of SC and 40 % in case of ST) mark’s taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

How to apply for Assam CEE 2016

Eligible Candidate has to first register themselves by filling the Application Form at www.ceemedu.org from 21st March to 9th April 2016. The Application Form as in Schedule – I of these rules contains two parts “A” and “B”. The “Form A” is to be submitted as the first Application Form for appearing in the Common Entrance Examination. Completed Application “Form B” with all enclosures is to be submitted at the time of counselling if called for.

Application fee of Rs. 1240.00 (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS Courses only), Rs. 1240 for Engineering courses and Rs. 1540 for both medical and engineering courses can be deposit along with a bank charge of Rs. 60/- in cash at any branch of State Bank of India by using bank challan generated after completion of online submission of application form.

Applicants need not send copy of Application Form or any Document to this office. However candidates may take printout of Application Form for his/her personal record.

Important dates

  • Last date for online submission of Application form- 09th April, 2016
  • Last date of the receipt of examination fee at SBI- 12th April, 2016
  • Date of Issue of Admit Cards online- 02nd May, 2016 onwards
  • Assam CEE 2016 Dates of Examination- 14th May, 2016- 15th May, 2016

Assam CEE 2016 exam pattern and dates

Each paper shall be of 2(two) hours duration and shall contain 100 multiple choice questions each carrying one mark. Total marks for each paper shall be 100. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.

14th May, 2016 (Saturday)- Physics (10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m), Chemistry (2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m.)

15th May, 2016 (Sunday)- Biology (10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m), Mathematics (2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m.)

Candidates applying for MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS Courses must appear in Physics, Chemistry and Biology only. Candidates applying for Engineering Degree Courses must appear in Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics only. Candidates appearing in both MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS and Engineering Degree Courses must appear in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
