Anwar Jamal Kidwai Mass Communication Research Center (AJK MCRC) is one of the best mass communications Institute in India.Anwar Jamal Kidwai, the former Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, founded AJK MCRC in 1982. MCRC offersvarious courses in the art, craft, and technology of the modern media.

The two postgraduate level courses offered by AJK MCRC are-
- A. (Mass Communication)
- A. (Convergent Journalism)
A national-level entrance test will be conducted for admission in Mass communication and Convergent Journalism courses followed by an interview round and portfolio submission.
M.A. in Mass Communication is a two-years full-time course, which offers a systematic progression of hands-on production work that allows students to experience technical expertise, conceptual skills, and artistic experience in the field of media. The thorough study of courses such as Screenwriting, Photography, Sound and Radio, Media and Cultural Studies, Television Production, New Media Storytelling and the Digital Media Arts, helps the student to understand the media practices.There are 50 seats offered in the M.A. Mass Communication course.
M.A. in Convergent Journalism is a two-years full-time course. With an integrated program in Print, Broadcast (Radio and Television), Online, and Photo Journalism, the course helps to produce skilled and trained journalists, for all the four streams of journalism as reporters, news writers, copy editors, and producers. There are 20 seats offered in the M.A. Convergent Journalism course.
The entrance test of M.A. in Convergent Journalism will be held on 14th May 2016.
The entrance test of M.A. in Mass Communication will be held on 15th May 2016.
The entrance test will be held at one center only, i.e., Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who fulfill the following eligibility criteria can apply for the following courses.
For AJK MCRC M.A. Mass Communication 2016
- Candidate must be a graduate in any discipline.
- Candidate must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA in graduation.
For AJK MCRC M.A. Convergent Journalism 2016
- Candidate must be a graduate in any discipline.
- Candidate must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA in graduation.
Exam Pattern
ForAJK MCRC M.A. Mass Communication 2016
- There will be a written exam of 200 marks.
- The exam will consist of both objectivetype and descriptivetype questions.
- There will be an Interview of 45 marks and a Portfolio submission of 55 marks.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong objective-type answer.
For AJK MCRC M.A. Convergent Journalism 2016
- There will be a written exam of 200 marks.
- The exam will consist of both objective type and descriptive type questions.
- The objective type questions will be of 20 marks and descriptive type questions will be of 180 marks.
- There will be an Interview of 45 marks and a Portfolio submission of 55 marks.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong objective-type answer.

Admit Card
Candidates will be informed about the availability of Admit Card on their registered email ID’s and through messages. Once the admit card will be available candidate can download it by logging into the admissions portal on the website: www.jmi.ac.in. Candidates are advised to take the printout of their admit card and paste their self-attested passport size recent colored photograph on it. The Admit Card must be produced at the time of Entrance Test. Without the Admit Card, no candidate will be permitted to write the test.
