REPCO abbreviated as Repatriates Cooperative Finance and Development Bank Ltd. Was set up back in the year 1969. It was initially started as a cooperative society under the Madras Cooperative Societies Act, 1961. It provides the service of promotion of rehabilitation activities for repatriates. The bank is currently owned by Government of India, four state governments jointly viz. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Repatriates with share capital of around rupees 116 crores. The advances made by the bank in the year 2013-14 were Rs. 4523 crores as against its deposits of Rs. 6401 crores.
