MSc Admission 2016 at Vishvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur
Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur has invited applications for admission to M.Sc Programs for 2016-18 sessions.
The admission to M.Sc Program will be through Centralised Counselling (CCMN-2016) based on the IIT JAM 2016 Score.
Course Details
2 year full time M.Sc Program in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; these M.Sc Programs provide opportunity to make career in R&D, industries and academic institutions; the Institute may provide opportunity for the placement.
Availability of Seats
M.Sc (Physics): 20 Seats [OC-10, OB-05, SC-03 & ST-02]
M.Sc (Chemistry): 20 Seats [OC-10, OB-06, SC-03 & ST-01]
M.Sc (Mathematics): 20 Seats [OC-10, OB-05, SC-03, ST-01 & OC-PwD-01]
Gen-General, OBC-Other Backward Classes, SC-Scheduled Caste, ST-Scheduled Tribe, PWD- Persons with Disabilities, Reservation as per Government of India Rules.
PWD seats will be merged to GEN seats if the applicants are not available.
Eligibility for MSc Programs
B.Sc/Bachelors degree with minimum 55% marks aggregate or equivalent grade (50% in case of applicants from reserved category) with Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics as one of the main subject to be eligible for the respective course.
Requirement for Admission
Applicant should satisfy the following criterion:
M.Sc (Physics): Applicants must have Physics at B.Sc/Bachelor degree level in all the three years along with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
M.Sc (Chemistry): Applicants must have Chemistry at B.Sc/Bachelor degree Level in all the three years and any other combination.
M.Sc (Mathematics): Applicants must have Mathematics at B.Sc/Bachelor degree Level in all the three years and any other combination.
How to Apply?
Applicants can download application form from www.ccmn.in.
The vacant seats after CCMN 2016 National spot round (NSR), if any, will be filled through the Institute Written Test conducted by VNIT on May 29th 2016.
Applicants have to download application form and send the duly filled application form with a DD of Rs.300/- (general category and OBC)/Rs.150/- (SC/ST) to the Institute.

Registration & Submission of Online Application: April 15th to May 20th May 2016 (05.00 pm)
Downloading of Admit Card: April 15th to May 28th 2016
Date of Institute Written Test: May 29th 2016 (Sunday)
Display of Merit List of Institute Written Test: June 10th 2016
Operation of the Merit List of Institute Written Test: Will be displayed later
Start of Semester: July 25th 2016
